Two Hemispheres, Three Objectives

Delron Speaking to Thailand LeadersAlthough our two missions in November were very different in their focuses, they seemed to demonstrate the three major objectives of the mission of Teach All Nations. Delron started the month off in the Eastern Hemisphere with a trip to Thailand, where he met with the national directors of Every Home for Christ from twenty-two nations in Asia and the islands of the Pacific. The purpose of this trip was specifically to work with the leaders from ten of these nations in developing a discipleship program for the new converts in their nations. In addition, he distributed his latest book, So, You Wanna Be A Preacher, to the leaders of all the nations represented at the conference and discussed with all who were interested the possibilities of having some of his books translated and printed in their languages.

Peggy Instructs StudentsWithin thirty-six hours of his return to the Western Hemisphere, he was on another plane headed to Mexico. This time, he and Peggy were directing a team of thirty-three students from Charis Bible College who were headed south of the border to get an introduction to missions. The week-long encounter was packed with a variety of cross-cultural and evangelical experiences. Due to the size of the group, we divided into two teams which worked in different areas of the community but held identical programs at the two locations.

Family Accepts ChristThe week began as the students ministered in local churches. It was the first time that any of the students had worked with interpreters as they shared their testimonies or preached, yet each team saw great results as the people responded to their invitations for salvation, healing, or prayer for other needs. Each morning, the students worked in small teams with local interpreters to canvas the areas in a home-to-home visitation, inviting the residents of the communities to the evangelistic tent meetings that would be held that evening. Again, the personal one-on-one at the people’s doorsteps and the whole tent-evangelism program were a new experiences for most of them; however, each day was highlighted with numerous salvations, healings, and baptisms in the Holy Spirit.

Thank you so much for your prayers and gifts which make it possible for us to accomplish our three objectives of training leaders, developing new interest in missions, and publishing teaching materials.
